Women’s Comprehensive Care Clinic
The University of Miami Miller School of Medicine Institute for Women’s Health, in collaboration with the Departments of Internal Medicine and Obstetrics and Gynecology, along with Jackson Health System, established a new Women’s Comprehensive Care Clinic in September 2007.
Located in Jackson’s Ambulatory Care Clinic (ACC) West, 3rd floor, the clinic trains Medicine residents and serves female patients who are new to the Jackson Health System on Thursday mornings. This interdisciplinary service delivery model and its associated academic program have been specially designed to focus on the provision of comprehensive women’s health services in a way that is responsive to the gender-specific needs of women.
The overall goals of the program are the enhancement of resident knowledge and skills related to women’s health and improved patient satisfaction with the quality of care.
